June is National Safety Month

June is National Safety Month. A month set aside to recognize and be proactive about counteracting the inherent dangers in a modern workplace. Hazards exist, but creating a culture of safety protects and defends against those Hazards.
Every year the National Safety Council focuses on creating resources and directing attention to actionable ways in which you can manage the risks in your workplace. Week 1 is dedicated to combating slips trips and falls which are the No. 2 cause of nonfatal disabling injury in the workplace.

In an attempt to shine a light on the topic of slips, trips, and falls the NSC provides the use of materials that you can use or a guide to hosting your own 5-minute safety talk.
